Who says you can’t be active and social at the same time?

At the President’s Challenge, we know that inspiration often comes from the people around you. You might be tempted to skip a workout if you’re heading to the gym by yourself, but if you’re supposed to meet your workout buddy, you’ll make yourself go. The same goes for healthy eating—it’s much easier and more fun to do in the company of others.

Make the most of this human connection and start a group. It doesn’t matter if it’s 5, 5,000, or 500,000 people—our online tracker will allow your group to take the President’s Challenge together. Your group members can choose between the Presidential Active Lifestyle Award (PALA) and Presidential Champions challenges, based on their comfort level.

Consider Starting a Group for:

  • Co-workers. The President’s Challenge has helped thousands of organizations and companies implement programs for their employees. Yours could be next!
  • Community members. Do you want to continue the camaraderie of your softball team into the off-season? Are you looking for a way to get to know other new moms or dads in your area? Think about creating a group just for the people around you.
  • Your family and friends. It can be a group of 3 or 30, but the bottom line is that you really care about these people, and you want them to get active and eat well.

Be a Cheerleader

Starting a President’s Challenge group is a great way to improve people’s lives, but you’ve got to do some follow-through. Your group members will need motivation and encouragement along the way—not to mention awards when they meet their goals. (And don’t worry, they will.)

We also have a great selection of President’s Challenge gear—what better way to kick off your group than by handing out our T-shirts?
