The mission of ABC Yoga for Kids is to educate and empower children across the nation and around the world to practice yoga in order to make better choices for keeping their bodies healthy, both mentally and physically. I have practiced yoga for over 30 years, and am the author of the best-selling and multiple award-winning book The ABCs of Yoga for Kids, which has sold over 100,000 copies worldwide. Many schools nationwide are incorporating The ABCs of Yoga for Kids into their school curriculum. For the past 10 years I have taught yoga to children, helping thousands of kids develop a healthy attitude towards their body. I also speak at numerous libraries, schools, bookstores, yoga studios, conferences, and childcare resource centers. Yoga nourishes the mind, body, and spirit and paves the way for a life-long tradition of health and fitness. Any activity for young children is important, considering the nation, including our youth, is under siege by obesity, stress, and diseases like diabetes that stem from poor diet and lack of exercise. It is the goal of ABC Yoga for Kids to create good habits and a foundation for well-being for the kids of our future generation through the engaging practice of yoga.
WELLNESS, INC. is a MA company that uniquely incorporates peak performance techniques practiced by athletes into the playful learning of the ABCs. This helps children in literate societies develop early physical, cognitive, and emotional wellness skills.
OUR MISSION: to reformulate the teaching of the ABCs into a health and fitness tool for young children growing up in today’s increasingly sedentary, fast paced, technology-focused world. PE Fit Programs were born out of the desire to help students realize the connection between diet, activity level, physical fitness and health. Often students would express concerns about health issues, dissatisfaction with their body or their performance in athletics and academics without realizing that their daily habits influence all of these areas. So a mission began in 2001 to educate students at a average sized suburban high school in Akron, Ohio about the importance of exercise and a healthy diet as well as motivate them to get moving! As a result of the changes made to the PE programs, incredible improvements were experienced by students in their fitness levels, motivation to exercise, eating habits, understanding of health related fitness concepts, academic & athletic performance, body-image, self-esteem and general lifestyle habits.

The Trust for Public Land works to protect the places people care about and to create close-to-home parks-particularly in and near cities, where 85 percent of Americans live. Our goal is to ensure that every child has easy access to a safe place to play in nature. We also conserve working farms, ranches, and forests; lands of historical and cultural importance; rivers, streams, coasts, and watersheds; and other special places where people can experience nature close at hand. The Trust for Public Land was founded to conserve land for people to enjoy as parks, gardens, and other natural places, and we're still the only large conservation organization focused on this goal. Today, nearly ten million Americans live within a ten-minute walk of a park or natural area we've protected. We're working toward a day when everyone has easy access to a safe, green place to play. Parks support the health and well-being of communities. The Trust for Public Land is the go-to organization for communities wanting to protect special places and create close-to-home parks, playgrounds, greenways, and trails, all of which promote exercise and make it easier for people to make healthy lifestyle choices. The Trust for Public Land's Fitness Zone® Program provides free outdoor fitness equipment in local parks-often in neighborhoods where gym memberships are too pricey to be practical. With your support, we're empowering communities with an innovative new resource in the fight against obesity.
