How to track your progress
Hapinees lies in the joy of achievement. -President Franklin D. Roosevelt Getting fit gets a lot easier when you can see how you're doing. That's where your online activity log can really help.

1. Enter your activities.
You have to record your activities to earn awards in the President's Challenge. Your activity log makes that simple with convenient pull-down menus. Just select the date, a description that fits your activity, and the amount of time you spent. You can also log steps using a pedometer.

You can log activities as often as you want, in increments as small as 5 minutes. Although you can't log time for activities you haven't done yet, you can go back up to 14 days to enter past activities. In the Active Lifestyle program, you can also download an activity log form [PDF] to track your progress on paper.

2. Review your progress.
Whenever you go to your activity log, you can see just how far you've come toward your goal - at a glance.

Your log keeps a record of all your activities. So you can review your entries at any time - or print out your entire log. There's also a way to compare your progress with others who are taking the President's Challenge.

3. Earn awards.
In addition to offering guidance along the way, your log will automatically let you know when you reach your goal. We'll keep track of all your awards and remind you when you've earned a new one.
